Climate change is happening.
We think you should know more about it.
Our motivation
Climate Rabbit is a personal passion project that was envisioned and created by Vincenzo Gudino, a Chiricahua Apache-environmentalist. He has long been passionate about both climate change and education, leading to the creation of this resource. He has a Bachelor’s in Earth, Society, & Environmental Sustainability from the University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign and a Master’s in Environmental Policy from Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands.
With Climate Rabbit, he hopes to better educate the public on how climate change is and will impact them, from weather to home insurance to grocery prices. Climate change is a complex topic with innumerable facets and affects almost everything in our lives. Climate Rabbit aims to consolidate as such information as possible to create a base understanding of climate change and it’s impacts for any interested.
Why the name Climate Rabbit?
Vincenzo’s given Native name is ‘Chikome Tochtli’, which translated from Nahuatl means ‘Seven Rabbit’. As his passion for environmental sciences grew, he began pondering possible names for organizations that he may one day create. He knew it had to intertwine his passion for environmental issues with who he was.
And so, Climate Rabbit was born.
Pictured to the right is a tattoo Vincenzo has on his left forearm. It depicts a rabbit holding an environmental text book, displaying a version of himself with a passion. This tattoo was done by the wonderful artists at CreAsian Tattoo in Ede, Netherlands.
